If I didn’t put this on my tumble blog, I’d end up spamming Twitter relentlessly. My real blog is at http://blog.ungroundedoutlet.com. It’s not very interesting because it’s a collection of my quotes instead of a collection of good quotes.
If you’d like, you may also check out my Google Reader Shared Feed (http://www.google.com/reader/shared/01951573570661415326) so you can see the things I think are most exceptionally interesting.

Ungrounded Tumblr

I figured this was a caching issue, but it’s been like...

I figured this was a caching issue, but it’s been like this for a month or two now.
Things that are good:

It mostly works at my house (by which I mean, Verizon works at my house)

It has a physical keyboard which makes texting a breeze

It has an HTML browser

I can use BitPim to put ringtones on it for free

Works with my bluetooth headset

Decent battery life and included a USB cable that can charge it

Was able to buy Bejewled. I love Bejeweled.

Things that are bad:

Drops calls at my house. A lot.

The touchscreen blows

A lot of apps won’t work with the touchscreen, requiring you to open the phone

Iimpossible to nagvigate web pages with the browser by way of the touchscreen

But that’s okay because the browser sucks so you don’t really want to use it if you can avoid it

And of course, sometimes the browser just stops loading pages with no indication that it’s done so. So even if you’re trying to use it, you might not actually be using it

No built-in email app

The for-pay email apps suck and are worthless and it’s easier to use gmail over the browser (despite the fact that the browser sucks; the available email apps suck even more)

Bluetooth integration with computers is crippled to the point of uselessness

The call alert sounds are too quiet because the speaker is inside the phone (when closed) and therefore everything is muffled

No built-in email app. Did I mention this one already?

I’m not sure why this phone exists. It’s not a good touchscreen phone. It’s not a good messaging phone. It’s not a good web-surfing phone. It’s not really a very good phone-phone. It looks like it was meant to be an iPhone killer but my mom’s old StarTAC was closer to being an iPhone killer than the LG Voyager. Still, it works at my house and has a keyboard.

I guess that’s something.

I've Got An Idea For A Movie

Me: Still, it definitely has me shaking my fist at the universe. "It's not fair!" I say to the sky. And then I stop because I'm worried that David Bowie will steal my twenty-four year old little brother.
Bran: I had this brief moment of some hilarious slash with Jareth stealing some young man due to the clause (someone says the "I wish..." thing, and he *has* to steal them away 'cuz of the rules...). They start out hating each other, but the capability of the heart to love will not be ignored. ;)

Housekeeping

I’ve stopped importing my Google Reader shared items into this tumbl blog because it was duplicating entries on my FriendFeed (http://friendfeed.com/willia4).
